Hi! I'm Eileen and I'm a certified Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDT-C) who has been working with students with learning differences for over 25 years.
As The 3 R's LD Coach, my work focuses on clarity...helping parents and teachers make sense of learning challenges through diagnostic testing, background review, educational guidance, and thoughtfully designed tools that translate research into action.
With over 25 years of experience in the field of special education, I have served as a teacher, an educational diagnostician, instructional programmer, Child Study Team member, and educational consultant within the school environment.
My educational journey began with a bachelor's degree in English and French from Villanova University, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching (Teacher Education) from Montclair State University. I furthered my expertise by obtaining a post-master's Educational Services Certificate (Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant) from Montclair State. I am proud to hold certifications in K-12 Special Education and K-8 Regular Education.
For 12 years, I had the privilege of teaching in resource rooms and self-contained classes in New Jersey, where I gained invaluable experience working directly with students with diverse learning needs. For the past 15 years, I have worked as a Learning Consultant for an educational commission in New Jersey, testing students in both public and private schools, completing educational evaluations, planning goals and strategies for students, and communicating with schools and parents.
I understand the challenges and intimidation that can come with navigating the special education landscape and recognize how overwhelming it can be to support a child who is experiencing learning difficulties. I believe that parents are their child's greatest advocates, and they deserve clear, evidence-based guidance to help them make informed decisions. My role is to help early elementary parents and educators understand what the data means and what steps are worth taking next.
My work focuses on helping families and educators gain clarity and confidence. I support this process through diagnostic testing or thoughtful background review to identify learning patterns, educational guidance that translates research into practical recommendations, and accessible blog content. I also create AI-powered tools designed to help parents and teachers quickly find reliable answers and plan meaningful next steps. All of my work is grounded in research and intentionally designed to reduce guesswork and overwhelm.
I am thrilled to have you here at my site. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Presently, my work focuses on assessment, educational guidance, and tools that help parents and educators support learners effectively. I am not providing tutoring at this time, but will indicate on my website if that changes.
No. Many children struggle without a formal diagnosis. The resources and tools on this site are designed to help families and educators understand learning challenges with or without a label.
Both. My work supports parents, classroom teachers, and specialists who want clear, research-based insight into early literacy and numeracy challenges.
